I wasn't sure about any of the mods on 7th Heaven like the world textures etc as Remako up-scales them unless they are higher quality that stock textures? If I figure it out I'll post the solution here, and if I can get Remako to work I'll let you know.

In both the qimmh forum FAQ and the troubleshooting HTML in the 7th Heaven folder both state to uninstall/reinstall or try deleting the 7thWorkshop folder and reopening 7th Heaven but that doesn't do anything, or to delete the files at FF7\mods but I don't have a mods folder there.Īs a kind of semi last resort I'm going to try downloading the 7th Heaven installer and restarting after installing to see if that could be an issue, otherwise maybe the problem is the fact that FF7 is a fresh install and I haven't run it yet. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 7th Heaven and FF7 with no success, I've even delete and re-downloaded the 7th Heaven 2.0 installer and still the same result. I've added a picture link in original post in case that helps. After opening it an error message pops up, and when I press OK 7th Heaven stops responding and then closes. As I said in my previous comment, I can't get 7th Heaven to do anything.

If you figure this out, will you do me a favor and see if Remako or any of the world textures work for you? I had it working in the older 7th Heavens, but it won't work in 2.0 for whatever reason. I'll check out the video later when I'm on my laptop, and I'll post any changes or updatesĮdit: I watched the video, after he installs it and runs 7th Heaven he immediately is shown the general settings window. Just in case it happens to be a problem, where is the optimal place to install 7th Heaven? As I've been installing directly to the C:\ drive rather than in program files or program files 86 I also run 7th Heaven as administrator and also tried running it in compatibility mode for win 8 but that doesn't change anything.Īfter hours of searching I've found no solution this, I did find on a forum the same problem but it had no replies. "An unexpected error has occurred and the app must closeĬould not find a part of the path 'G:\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\mods\7th Heaven'."Īnd then pressing OK on that window closes that but then 7th Heaven stops responding and then closes, I've even tried uninstalling and deleting all 7th Heaven files and reinstalling, installing FF7 and reinstalling. I am unable to do that, after installing 7th Heaven 2.0 and then running it, I cannot even do anything.

I think you just need to change the paths to C: drive in the 'general setting' of 7th Heaven. So how do I resolve this isssue? I had read that I need to copy the FF7 game files from C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\ The problem is I don't have a G:\ drive and as stated before my Steam is installed at C:\Games\Steam\ "Could not find a part of the path 'G:\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\mods\7th Heaven'." and after I press OK it crashes and exits. "An unexpected error has occurred and the app must close" and also stating: I've installed FF7 which my Steam install location is at C:\Games\Steam\Īnd after installing 7th Heaven 2.0, and then running it, it immediately says: But I had read that I needed to use 7th Heaven, which I decided to use 2.0 but haven't been able to get it to work. So I decided I would instead play the original FF7, and thought about installing the Remako mod and maybe a couple of others. So due to the hype of the FF7: REMAKE, which I'll unfortunately never get to play due to a few problems (my laptop is a potato with 3GB RAM, I only own a 360 console, I don't have WiFi (or at least I use a BTWIFI Hotspot))
